Swing Setter, is it good for practice tempo?

I just bought a swing setter, designed by david leadbetter. its for my son… do you think this is good to improve his tempo? Or do you think it just waste time.
My daugther, she is new in golf, before she never can hit her driver.. after using this swing setter, she start can hit balls with her driver.
Not sure, this happened because the swing setter or because she already practice few times before.

when i make instrumentals i use to use a watch, and do taps,
2 taps for every second, 1 tap on half second, 2nd tap on 1 second, 3rd tap on 1 1/2 second, 4th tap on 2 seconds al lthe way up to the 8th tap thn id start over or just keep going until i could tap perfectly measured without looking at a watch

With due respects….lets start with the basics and ask yourself….do I know what swing tempo is?….does my son?
Not many people understand tempo….what is tempo???
If you want to get from A to B…..
do you buy a bicycle, bike or a car?
Essentially tempo is the speed of the CORRECT sequencing of your body on the upswing and downswing….
Swing Aids are great but you have to know what it is aiding…otherwise you are just creating another problem on top of the problems you already have
