Will a higher lofted driver combined with a more regular flexible shaft improve my slice?

Apparently I have a bit of an ‘out to in’ golf swing, which means I normally slice the golf ball.

A couple of years ago I invested in some new clubs, complete with a new driver – It turns out I quite simply cannot control this driver – an absolutely wild slice nine times out of ten.

The club is a 10 degree loft with a stiff shaft.

I read that the more loft you have on your driver and also if you have a regular flex shaft, the better chance you have of getting rid of your slice.

Does anyone know if this is right?

I’m thinking of getting an 11 or 11 and half degree driver with a regular shaft….

Many thanks

When I swing the ball usually goes to the left and I cant hit the ball in it’s sweet spot. I line up my feet, interlock my hands, and swing. I believe I am hitting the ball on the outside of my club (lefty golfer). I also cant consistently get the ball to float in the air. Some times I swing too high or too low. I also think that maybe the clubs are too long for me because maybe im standing too far from the ball. I use adult sized clubs and im only 13 5′2.
How do I get in good habits when I swing and break the bad ones?

I am a young golfer and my handicap is about 19. I would like to get it to 15 or under by the end of this summer. I’ve been playing golf since I was little, so my swing is natural, and I have a good idea of the game, but I really want to have a break-through. Recently, I shot just 14 over, but I haven’t been able to mimic that score. How do I par more holes (I par about 5 a round)? How do I eliminate double and triple bogeys from my score? What are some ways to improve my golf game in general? What are some techniques or drills that might work?

P.S. Most days I have a great long game, but then I ruin it with my putting. I practice putting for at least 30 minutes every time I go to the course and I get experience playing, but what are some putting techniques that may help me? I have pretty good aim, but how do I get the speed right?

P.P.S. How do I become more consistent with my long irons and my driver? Also, are there any pre-shot techniques that help to make you hit better shots?

I just recently started golfing, and I’ve been having ok results at almost every aspect except the driving….every time I drive it’s like I hit the ball 5 feet in front of me or way off to one side or the other. Is there any tips that might help improve this? Hopefully without taking lessons as I can’t really afford them.

In my own golf swing, I have consistently noticed that i have a very upright posture (even with my wedges and putter lol!), even though my weight is evenly distributed between the balls of my feet. Therefore, what exercises or drills can i do that involve both strength and flexibility? I personally am an ambitious and slightly competitive teenager, looking to improve my own personal game (particularly with my long game). Thanks…
For your information, i actually have an in to out swing path anyways, which can cause a few good shots and some inconsistencies..

I’ve finally gotten better at hitting golf balls correctly while at the range, but I’m having trouble following my ball. I was taught to keep my head down, but now that I’m more comfortable I’ve been trying to follow the ball – but can’t see it 99% of the time. I’ve go new glasses, so distance vision isn’t the problem. Even when I look at someone swing, most of the time I have no idea where their ball fell.

i ‘m new to the game and i just love it.my dad hits impressively well but his tips doesn’t work. some around 9 months ago some PGA coaches came from US here in nearby golf club charging very very high and i learned from them.i saw an unexpected great change in my hitting and could hit 150 metres long with club 7.i was consistent with that for few months but my mind got distracted towards cricket and i started spending more time playing that.has that made a unfavourable change in my swing?
what do i do?

I’ve found that I have not been turning my wrist over and as a result, my ball generally gets pushed to the right. I have corrected this by turning it over and I am starting to see better results. How can I improve my game to where I am at least consistent with my swings….I figure distance will come later when I can get control of my swing.
